Rayleen Pula Price

Rayleen Pula Price was born c. 1969 is an Utopia Artist from Central Desert Australia. Utopia is approximately 350 km northeast of Alice Springs. Utopia is home to some of the biggest names in Aboriginal Art, including Betty Mbitjana, Abie Loy Kemarre, Barbara Weir, Gloria Petyarre, Anna Price Pitjara, the late Minnie Pwerle, Kudditji Kngwarreye, Kathleen Petyarre and lots more!

Rayleen is related to the renowned Anna Price Pitjara and their paintings details are very similar coming both from the same country. Margaret Price and Rayleen Pula Price, are mother and daughter. Apparently each traditional Aboriginal artist usually paints in a single style on his or her subject – so Margaret would have her own style which she would repeat and repeat, never crossing over into Rayleen’s style and vice versa.

Rayleen’s artwork depicts her “dreaming” of Bush Seeds and Bush Medicine Leaves. which are fundamental to the staple foods and medicine utilised by Utopian women.

Rayleen’s intricate work is in high demand all over Australia and by continuing following the renown Anna Petyarre soon will be in demand all over the world. Raylene Price’s work has been offered at auction multiple times.
