The women engaged in cultural activities in a desert environment known as Yuelamu, which they inherited from their Ancestral Grandmother, who travelled to this Anmatyerre site in the Tanami Desert during the Dreamtime, at Creation. This is an important place for the artist and her family.

The U-shapes, represent the women in different areas collecting wild bush food, they depict waterholes and meeting places and many types of bush food such as berries, yams, and honey ants, in this painting, the artist depicts motifs that give symbolic form to tribal.

The dreaming has been passed down from Khatija’s renowned aunty and mother, Gabrielle and Michelle Possum.
