Story:

Rosemary uses the traditional dot and line work of the Western Desert art movement, painting the Echidna Dreaming story. The horizontal and vertical stripes represent elements of women’s body paint designs, and the rounded forms represent the echidna. Tjukurpa refers to the creation period when ancestral beings created the world. From this came Anangu, a religious heritage explaining their existence and guiding daily life. For Anangu, Tjukurpa provides answers to important questions, the rules for behaviour and for living together.
