Story:
Two Women Dreaming is a crucial documented design in soft cover titled Papunya Painting by Vivien Johnson held in the National Museum of Australia Collection Page 72 By Shorty Lungkarta Tjungurrayi (Debra’s Grandfather) Kungka Kutjarra (the two women ancestors) wandered through the country around Warlungurru (Kintore) in the dreaming. They tracked a perentie lizard, creating a soakage at Lampintjanya near the Kintore Range as they speared the giant lizard with a digging stick. The women then travelled through Kultukatjarra (Docker River) to Illiningarrara and, eventually, Tjukurla.
An example of an extra large design, 307 cm x 110 cm, was commissioned by a client to add a fundamental showpiece feature going up her staircase.
