Story:

The Wild Flowers series celebrates the beauty and abundance of wildflowers in Her country of Atnwengerrp in Utopia. Wild Flowers is inspired by the resurgence of new growth from recent heavy rains. It documents the regeneration of Indigenous wildflowers, which subsequently increases food sources for the community.

Wild Flowers emphasises the importance of the land's natural re-growth, renewal, rebirth, and regeneration. Underneath and incorporated into the foreground are Jeannie’s ceremonial body paint designs used in Awelye (women’s ceremony), acknowledging the importance of culture.

The painting depicts wildflowers, bush seeds, dreaming sites, and other significant elements connected to Jeannie’s culture and country.
